Rocklin based IT business is looking to build a great team to help support our clients. We have positions available for part-time desktop support assistants located near Rocklin. We offer on the job training for candidates looking for a technical career in the IT field.
Job Responsibilities
- Learn how to use our internal software tools and apply our internal processes. Learn and apply our recommended best practices.
- Observe, learn, and apply computer service skills including but not limited to diagnosing hardware problems, diagnosing software problems, disassembling & repairing desktop computers, Operating System installation, & BIOS configuration.
- Become knowledgeable in using & installing common software applications such as Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Mac OS, Microsoft Office, computer security software, Adobe Acrobat and related products.
- Interact with clients to troubleshoot and fix issues. Also involves contacting third party vendors with support issues and following guidance from team members.
- Learn to find documentation and support information on the web for hardware & software troubleshooting.
- Learn and apply basic networking skills.
Availability Requirements
- Our standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pacific Time.
- After hours and weekend work will be required from time-to-time.
Experience Requirements
- This is an entry level position that offers training so less than six months of experience in the IT field is expected. For those without any experience, candidates should be actively studying for a career in the IT industry or similar technology related field.
