You have several options when choosing a voice to record for your phone system greetings.  They include:

1. The business owner or a key employee.  This adds a very personal touch to any business as callers hear a familiar voice when they call the business.  If you choose this option, you typically want someone that is not likely to leave the company in case you need to record additional greeting or make changes in the future.
2. An A.I. or text-to-speech voice.  Traditionally the voices used to sound very robotic but with advancements in artificial intelligence this is a much more viable option.  It makes future changes to the phone system greetings very easy.
3. A professional voice over artist.  This can give your phone system a really professional feel.  If you are well connected, you might even be able to use a celebrity voice that would make you caller’s ears perk up.  If only I could get the late, great Chick Hearn to record my phone system greetings.
